Teaching Languages Abroad

Teaching Languages abroad is a fantastic opportunity to travel overseas, experience a new culture and gain valuable teaching experience. This travel and teaching abroad programme is available to undergraduates, graduates and gap year students. The participants are expected to apply at least 3 months prior to their preferred start date.



The positions in China are for teaching English in schools and universities. Teaching time in China is usually 12 up to 19 hours a week. Each teaching period lasts from 40 minutes in primary school to one hour in the university. For your work at a public school, college or university, you will likely be paid between 3,000 and 5,000RMB/month (roughly US$400-$620) in addition to free housing. (Eligibility and Application).


TEACHING IN BRAZIL
This programme is a great opportunity to learn or improve your Portuguese, meet new people and experience an amazing culture while studying, living and teaching languages in Brazil. It is a practical programme where the student will get training in teaching. This placement is a fantastic chance to experience the Latin American culture and valuable work and travel experience in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. This programme enables students to travel to Spain and teach English within the home of a host family. This is a great opportunity to experience the Spanish culture by living with a Spanish family, gain valuable work and travel experience. An added bonus is of course that you will learn at least the basics of the Spanish language, if not become relatively fluent in the language, which always looks fantastic on a CV and for prospective employers.
